This site is not exactly part of the Spiritgeek.com site or the collected blogs.

In the January 2010 Zeitgeist Newsletter I discussed using a Journal or Diary to keep as a tool of becoming more self-aware and as I am not one to suggest something that I am not willing to do myself so I set up this Journal.

Not only does it have the current entries, beginning on December 30, 2009, but I have a collection of notebooks that have assorted entries from the past that I have always wanted to archive someplace, so here it will be.

I have written on the blog about how I show EVERYTHING, sometime maybe too much, but this whole collection is about chronicling a life and its growth.

Not everything will be directly related to spiritual growth but it is a record of one particular journey, mine. Take it as a collection of examples and experiences, learning from them as I have; who knows, you might learn more from them then I did.

Warning

I'll be the first to admit that some of what gets written in here is somewhat adult in nature, not that I plan on putting porn out, but some of it may not be appropriate for children.

2009/12/31

Well, it's New Years Eve and I would rather go home and do laundry than go out to a club and get plastered, just how old am I?!?

I went to the gym this morning and had a good workout and since I got up half-an-hour earlier I put in an additional 30 minutes on the cardio ski machine from hell. I really need to see about talking to someone about what ration of cardio to strength training would be best for me.

My usual workout is usually 45 minutes to an hour of weights and now I’m adding 30 minutes of cardio to it. If I have the time and the pool is warm, I’ll swim a few laps then soak in the whirlpool for about 10 minutes and the same in the dry sauna. Shower myself clean and then head for work on most days.

Except for the holidays, I’ve been really consistent at going 3 times a week as well as riding my bike everywhere. I seem to be stuck at about 185, but we’ve had this problem before.

I’m tired today, I’m going to finish up the newsletter either later tonight of before work tomorrow…

Started reading “The Emerging DreamHealer: A Guide to Healing and Self-Empowerment” by Adam and it’s seeming interesting, I will have to continue for more.

I’m also reading “Obsidian Butterfly (An Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, Book 9)” by Laurel K. Hamilton and “God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything” by Christopher Hitchens (Bill Maher should check this out, it’s right up the alley with his movie “Religulous” I may not agree with them, but I understand where they are coming from and I can see why they might feel that way).
